LÍNEAS DE ALTA TENSIÓN

Las líneas de más alta tensión a menudo permanecen invisibles y poco tienen que ver con la electricidad y sus amperios. Los vínculos entre las cosas y las personas, como las correas de los perros o los hilos invisibles que nos unen con aquellos que nos han salvado la vida o a quienes debemos favores impagables, sustentan el mundo en un nivel invisible a los ojos. Los escultores han sabido siempre de esos hilos cuando erigían estatuas que sostenían objetos finísimos sin necesidad de tallarlos. Los amantes aun no descubiertos, los ángeles y los demonios, y una madre con su hijo se vinculan por un cordón aun más sólido que los que se ve a simple vista. Uno de los grandes receptores de esas líneas de alta tensión es la arquitectura. Conviene no olvidarlo. Si entendemos esto, hacer un plano de situación o una sección constructiva se vuelve algo completamente diferente. 

The highest tension lines often remain invisible and have little to do with electricity and its amperes. The connections between things and people, like dog leashes or the invisible threads that bind us to those who have saved our lives or to whom we owe immeasurable debts, sustain the world on an unseen level. Sculptors have always known of these threads when they erected statues that held delicate objects without the need for carving. Undiscovered lovers, angels and evils, and a mother with her child are linked by a cord even stronger than those visible to the naked eye. Architecture is one of the great receptors of these high tension lines. It is important not to forget this. If we understand this, creating a site plan or a constructive section becomes something entirely different.
