Although we are accustomed to the idea of the heavens and their stars being painted across a dome, it is worth remembering that the purpose of windows and doors is to allow the world to enter our rooms, while at the same time allowing those rooms to expand into the world, like Janus-faced beings. The dialogue between those two faces is therefore miraculous. No other discipline devotes itself to two worlds at once. It speaks of what lies outside and, whenever it speaks of that exterior, it inevitably speaks as well of what is hidden within. Josep Maria Jujol knew a thing or two about that.
